Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 June 2025

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, and payment details when you create an account or purchase tickets. We also automatically collect usage data including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and device identifiers through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to process ticket purchases and payments, send booking confirmations and event reminders, provide customer support, improve the Platform, and comply with legal obligations. With your consent, we may also send you promotional communications about events and features.

3. Sharing Your Information

We share your information with event organisers to the extent necessary to fulfil your ticket purchase (e.g. your name and email for guest lists). We also share data with trusted third-party service providers including payment processors (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), and image hosting (ImageKit). We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and secure session management. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Platform functionality.

5. Payment Data

All payment transactions are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. Tixort does not store your full credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information. We store only a tokenised reference to your payment method.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records for tax purposes, which we retain for 7 years).

7. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and applicable laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also object to or restrict certain processing, and request data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@tixort.au. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password and notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access.

9. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

10. Children's Privacy

Tixort is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

12. Contact Us
