Terms of Service
Effective date: 1 June 2025
Please read these terms carefully before using Tixort.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Tixort ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this Platform. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice.
2. Use of the Platform
Tixort provides a marketplace for event organisers to list events and for users to discover and purchase tickets. You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not use the Platform to distribute spam, malware, or engage in fraudulent activity.
3. Account Registration
To purchase tickets or list events you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at contact@tixort.au of any unauthorised use of your account.
4. Ticket Purchases
All ticket sales are final unless an event is cancelled or significantly changed by the organiser. Prices displayed include all applicable fees unless otherwise stated. Tixort acts as an agent for event organisers and is not responsible for the event itself. Tickets may not be resold or transferred without the express permission of the organiser.
5. Event Organisers
Organisers are solely responsible for the accuracy of event information, the conduct of the event, and compliance with all applicable laws. By listing an event on Tixort, organisers grant us a non-exclusive licence to display event content on the Platform. Tixort reserves the right to remove any event listing that violates these terms.
6. Refunds & Cancellations
Refund eligibility is determined by the organiser's refund policy set at the time of listing. If an event is cancelled, attendees will receive a full refund of the ticket price. Service fees may be non-refundable. Please contact the organiser directly for event-specific refund requests.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including logos, text, graphics, and software — is the property of Tixort or its licensors and is protected by Australian and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tixort shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the ticket giving rise to the claim.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
